Virtual Engagement Officers (VEOs) have collectively raised more than $20 million in independently generated gifts across healthcare, nonprofit, and educational institutions. VEOs manage year-round, one-to-one engagement, reaching donors who would otherwise go unmanaged entirely.

Just five months ago, we announced $10 million raised. To see that number double in such a short span shows just how fast organizations are adopting Autonomous Fundraising every day. And with over 250 VEO deployments spanning more than 40 states and into Canada, it is an established solution for fundraising teams.

Organizations with a VEO are seeing a 4x annual return on investment. And VEOs performing in the top 20% are achieving annual results of 8x or higher ROI. More than 45% of organizations have already covered the cost of their VEO. That is genuine impact across sectors, database size, and portfolio compositions.

Stats in blue boxes overlaid a white background.

The impact of this $20 million extends beyond the organizations themselves. It's the scholarships being funded for students. The patients who are able to receive care. Animals being rescued. Libraries and public media serving their communities.

When more donors receive personalized engagement, mission impact compounds. A donor who had the interest and capacity to contribute deeper now has the one-to-one cultivation that makes it possible.

And it shows up directly in how donors give when they receive personal engagement:

  • 40% of gifts given by donors in a VEO portfolio are upgrades

  • The average upgrade is 66% more than the prior year

  • 1 in 5 are going as far as tripling their gift

It's never been clearer that when more donors feel personally connected to missions, transformational philanthropy happens.
