At Givzey | Version2.ai, we’ve built an onboarding experience that moves at the pace at which advancement teams actually operate.

Designed for Advancement Teams

As a team of former fundraisers and advancement professionals, we designed Autonomous Fundraising onboarding around how advancement teams actually work, delivering results in weeks, not months.

"Our goal isn't to create extra work," says Liz Giroux, Director of Onboarding at Version2.ai. "It's to organize the work that already exists in your workflows, and to repurpose it for the Virtual Engagement Officer."

On average, onboarding takes 8-10 total hours of your team's time, spread across three to four weeks. Teams that need to move faster can complete it in as little as two days.

A Proven, Three-Phase Process

Our fundraising technology onboarding runs with three tracks moving in parallel:

  1. Virtual Engagement Office (VEO) Creation. We establish your VEO’s identity, voice, and introduction materials with you to all align with your organization's brand.

  2. Portfolio Development & Data Delivery. We work with you to identify your most pressing fundraising goals, then guide strategic selection of your VEO's donor portfolio. Two data files power the initial setup, while your CRM stays the system of record throughout.

  3. Knowledge Base Build. Your team shares approved content sources such as your website, newsletters, and donor communications. The Givzey | Version2.ai team builds them into your VEO's knowledge base so it communicates in your organization's authentic voice.

A Clear Timeline & Accountability

From day one, your entire roadmap is visible, with clear timelines and task ownership at every stage. There's no ambiguity about what comes next or who owns it. Regular check-ins keep momentum going, questions get quick answers, and partners launch on schedule, ready to engage donors.

"The process was that smooth," says Susan Keays, Italian Home for Children's President and CEO. "It unfolded in clear phases with manageable pacing."

Why This Matters

This isn't just about a faster rollout. It's about what becomes possible when onboarding works the way your team already does.

With a setup that takes only weeks instead of months, your investment starts delivering value immediately. Your team can spend its time on donor strategy and relationship-building, instead of managing an implementation.

FAQ

How long does it take to onboard a Virtual Engagement Officer?

On average, onboarding takes 3-4 weeks and can be completed quicker upon request.

What data do I need to provide during onboarding?

Onboarding uses a simple set of 20 standard data points from your CRM, including demographic and giving information. The conversation details are sent back to your CRM as your VEO engages donors.

Will my VEO launch without our team's approval?

No. Every VEO launch requires final sign-off from your team.
